Using Ultra-White Opaque For Dark Colors

Ultra-White Opaque is a unique product for transferring onto dark colored shirts.
Ultra-White Opaque should not be run through your imaging device. It is used in con‑
junction with our regular single step line of heat transfer papers .

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Ultra-White Opaque is designed for transfer onto 100% cotton and" 50/50 fabrics.

For use with the following PAPER RANCH transfer papers:
PHOTO-TRANS® PLUS, PHOTO-TRANS® SC, DURA-TRANS, TECHNI-PRINT, JET-PRO,Image-Jet Lite II ,  JetTrans, and TexPrint XP* (for dye-sublimation transfers)

*See TexPrint XP transfer instructions on the back of this sheet

1.    Image your graphic onto the Paper Ranch heat transfer paper listed above (except TexPrint XP) using the appropriate imaging device.

2.    Place Ultra-White Opaque on the platen of your heat press, with the smooth, cream-colored side down. It is recommended to lay a sheet of baking parchment or a silicone sheet on the press underneath the Ultra-White Opaque before beginning.

3.     Put the printed transfer image side down on top of the white side of the Ultra-White Opaque and press with light pressure for 2-3 seconds at 400° Fahrenheit. Immediately after lifting the platen, gently rub the back of the transfer from the center out with a soft cloth to smooth out any bubbles This is long enough to bond the image to the Ultra-White Opaque .

4.    The printed transfer sheet and the Ultra-White Opaque are now bonded together. Trim both products on a flat cutting surface. Use an ExactoTM knife with a metal edge ruler. For best results, use a Precision Cutter.

NOTE: Do not separate or peel the regular liner paper from the imaged transfer sheet at this time!

6.     Position the image on the garment, with the Ultra-White Opaque side down and the printed backside of the transfer paper facing up. Apply, with the press heated to 400° Fahrenheit and using high pressure, for 30 seconds. Upon lifting the platen, gently rub the back of the transfer to remove any bubbles with a soft cloth. Allow approximately 10 seconds from lifting the platen before removing the release liner from the back of the transfer. TIP: If the release liner of the heat transfer paper should tear or is had to remove, reheat the image for 10-15 seconds at 400°F and immediately peel the remaining liner away. Place a sheet of baking parchment or silicone release paper on top of your transfer first to cover any exposed areas before repressing.

7.    If a matte finish is desired, after the transfer has cooled, re-press with a silicone sheet or baking parchment for 2-3 seconds at 400°F.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:

1.    Turn garment inside out. This will minimize the amount of abrasion that the transfer will encounter with other garments in the wash.

2.    Wash the garment in cold water using mild detergent.

3.    DO NOT USE BLEACH.

4.    Remove the garment from the wash immediately, and allow to air dry. If you are going to tumble dry, use the air only setting. By doing this over the life of the garment, you will be ensuring that your image stays clear and bright.

5.    If your garment needs to be ironed, do not iron directly on the transferred area. Use a silicone sheet sheet or baking parchment to cover the transfer before ironing.

6.

IMPORTANT: We do everything possible to test each of our grades of paper on various substrates using different transfer equipment (including many different home irons). However, it is impossible for us to duplicate all variables using all substrates and transfer equipment. Therefore, it is essential that you test the paper you plan to use before beginning production, to determine the suitability of the paper, when used with your equipment, methods, and substrate material. Please keep in mind that the Seller's and Manufacturer's maximum obligation shall be to replace any paper that has been proven to be defective. Neither the Seller nor the Manufacturer shall be liable for any injury, direct or consequential, arising out of the use of, or inability to use this paper.
